When is YouTube's tip jar coming?

That isn't the tip jar. The tip jar as shown above is what they talked about recently when they went over 60 fps videos and other future plans. Check the VidCon Keynote features sticky at the top of this forum.

Right side of main channel page under the subscription above "My Friends", below the subscription button and to the right of his channel trailer.

It was on The Young Turks videos as soon as it was announced. While watching a video on a PC, there was some sort of icon that appeared on the left side of the video.

I've just worked out why.

From the beta signup page quoted by @Wreckless Eating ( https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1KdfZYF8sCwR-uRjMThpL0xXLXJUeZLwpecQD_mspvzk/viewform ):


"NOTE: Right now we're only testing for channels and viewers in USA, Mexico, Japan and Australia but more countries soon!"


So that explains it. I really hope they roll this out worldwide.

Does anyone know where the funds come from when someone donates? I mean, do donators have to have a paypal account? :unsure:

I guess it will be the same as with the banners. The first 6-12 months it will be exclusive feature - after that everybody with 100 subscribers or so will have it.
