When is the best time to start a 2nd channel?

I wouldn't really think about popularity at this point. Just keep doing what you're doing. :) Make new friends!

Thanks the only reason I do it is because I do skit and sketch videos on my main channel and I like to keep a routine but I also like making behind the scenes/ blooper videos and I don't like my Main channel clutter with videos that may not interest my fanbase who want to see sketch videos

Well, as I mentioned earlier, you could always just make a schedule (ie. Mondays for sketches, Tuesdays for vlogs, etc) and organize playlists for easier navigation.

It's just my opinion but it helps keep the people on your channel (it helps analytics and eventually getting partner I suppose) and to create a fanbase from all your work. It also keeps your fans from getting confused.
