When do you write a script?

I always write script for my cartoons, but that is because making a cartoon is a lot of work and that way I get it more organised. But for tutorials, I just prepare a little bit before and then I justly talk without any script at all. So it depends on what kind of video it is also.

I generally don't script, but my A Very Special Episode series is scripted just because it's easier. I can watch and get my reactions without worrying about recording and editing in the moment. And the script makes it super easy to edit because I write down what part of the video I was reacting to. It also gives me the luxury of time, because I don't have to do everything at the same time. I can watch the episode and write my script, then when I have time record the narration, then whenever I get a chance I can edit it.

Otherwise, I generally just have an idea of what I want to talk about and I go with it.
