When do you think is the moment it all changes?

That's not true at all, I've seen a lot of YouTubers that started off really slow, but grew a huge audience over time. a lot of people will tell you that it's all up to luck, and while there is some luck involved, the rest involves really hard work, and there's a lot of things you can do to get to your YT goals. I've seen some of the crappyist YT'ers out there that have 5k subs that actually watch their videos, people who don't edit well or their upload time makes no sense. So if a person like that can get 5k subs than we can do even better. Every YT channel is different, so each channel needs to build themselves up in a different way. that's what really makes things so hard, because their's no strait answer on "how too get noticed"

But see... it is true from a certain point of view. Most people I see talking on these forums determine true success on YouTube is ~100K subscribers. And that, is not attainable by just anyone. Not even with hard work. You better feel comfortable where you are at. Whilst you can not see where you are going, it is unrealistic to expect 100K subscribers just because you are putting in hard work.

I never said I though 100K was the way to go, I said people can reach their goals if they work hard, other peoples goals are different from person to person, and everyone seems to think that everyone wants a million+ subs, and I'm sure a lot of people actually don't. I don;t think I could ever handle 100K subs personally. and on the note of subs, i don't get why people even get excited over subs, I get excited over comments, because to me that means people are actually watching my videos and want to be involved in what I'm doing. I just don't want anyone to read your comment and get discouraged about their channel especially the people who aren't doing it for the huge sub count, I want other people to feel confident in their hobby's and dreams, which is a feeling that is hard to find now-a-days.

I just wish YT comments weren't among the worst sort of comments on the internet when it comes to grammar, syntax, ideas, etc...

That said, a provocative and interesting comment makes me glad I made a video in the first place, far more than anything else.

Maybe there are some hits like 1000 subs or 100 video after upload.Maybe thats working or not. Or maybe thats was on algorithm on youtube and youtube change it.
But on any way it will be a small step.like if you get 1000 views per week to get 1200.
I think youtube will promote only channels that seem to have a big grow on the statistics. If a channel is stick to the same views for 2 years and one another grow every month 15% or more i think is more likely to get featured and promoted on youtube algorithm. THe best way is to make quality video.I know is dificult and maybe it cant happen on every video. But we have to make beautifull video with high retention time and great watch time. for these compared to other channels game and comedy channels are a little more likely to the algorithm.
Because a video about howto education film anything need weeks to produce and have a 3,4 minute watchtime.
If you make games you can produce 30 minutes video every day or if you make comedy is very likely to see a nice video 5 or 6 times to laugh again.
Hope that youtube will help the Youtubers so we can continue produce new content.
