So, I have a question for you all, when did you realize your channel was going somewhere? Happened to me today :) When I jumped up to 150, it was amazing, but I realized "Hey, this means people are actually watching me, this may get somewhere" not money wise, but my goal wise, I realized I may be able to reach the goals. So, when did this kick in for you?

I just started this channel. However, all my friends and people who actually gave me solid feedback. Say that my videos are great. That is where I gather my confidence and motivation. Each new subscriber to me means a lot. Each view, comment and like makes me feel like I accomplished something.

Same :) but today it just like, wow, this is going somewhere I never imagined it would go[DOUBLEPOST=1453928698,1453928662][/DOUBLEPOST]
When I finished my first video and had LOADS of fun making it.
Nice! I did as well :)
It's still to kick in! Although it is nice to have people watching my videos regularly and commenting.
:D it'll kick in , just love every subscriber and view :)

I think it's crept up gradually over time, but I think I started feeling a lot more confident around November/December, when people were more actively enjoying my work and writing lovely things. Also, I reached my goal of 250 subscribers before the end of the year (I started 2016 with 305, so happy was a complete understatement) so I went into January with lots of new ideas and faith in my abilities.

I've noticed how quickly (in my eyes) I've improved in terms of content. I'm less scripted, more natural in front of the camera, I've received some seriously helpful feedback, I've continued my research, I've joined more communities and I'm taking the steps towards improving things like my branding, my lighting, my sound, etc.

NICE! :)

Probably when my first channel hit 1k or so. People around me started to take me seriously. Now I'm more confident in with this channel since I'm actually satisfied with the quality of my own videos.

people at school take me seriously now, first they were like "oh hey you have a channel, what, 10 subs?" they checked it out, ever sense they just watch me check my analytics and stuff XD and i'm just like "um... Hi..." XD

For me I really started out with no confidence on YT and college in general but I just told myself to just do it and go through with it. So I just endured stress and now tbh It just makes everything a lot more fun you become more laid back as a person. Now I think a lot about making fresher content which do a lot better and my channel is actually growing a lot more with views compared to 2 months ago when I started daily uploads. Makes everything you do more fulfilling even if your not really making it out there.
