What's your preference: Tubebuddy or VidIQ?

Hey everyone! As someone just starting off I know SEO and proper tagging is important as it helps your videos rank better when people search. I recently downloaded both extensions for Youtube, Tubebuddy and VidIQ. I've tried using both of them and they're fantastic tools. Do you have a preference to which one you use? Thanks!

Well that doesn't really seem like you gave it a fair chance. I think TubeBuddy is great, personally. VidIQ is good too, but Tubebuddy keeps adding features that make its own features better while adding features from other plugins like VidIQ.

If it's been awhile since you tried it, I would try it again if I were you. What didn't you like about it?
 
I use tubebuddy i love it! I love the amount of things it adds to youtube, and it's really useful in my opinion, the only annoying thing is sometimes it makes my firefox completely crash, but apart from that I really like it.
I have never used the other one
 
I use TubeBuddy, I previously used HeartBeat before the aggressive network pushing, but it's been an easy switch and I especially enjoy the Channalytics fetaure where you can compare yourself to other channel. (Competitive? Who, me?)

Another benefit is that we are active in the community and here to help everyone whereas VidIQ seems to only care about huge companies paying them a lot of money. I built TubeBuddy from scratch and still make sure to go out and answer any questions people have like this forum post.

I decided to give Tubebuddy a try, as I've only ever used Vidiq. It seems rather professional from my first impression. The one thing I've noticed so far that I don't like is the number of clicks I have to do to get to the tag rankings. That was something I liked a lot about Vidiq, they put the number rankings with the corresponding tag. (It was right on the page, I just had to look to the right and all the info was right there. Zero clicks.) With Tubebuddy, it seems I have to click on "Tools" and then "Search Rankings". I'd rather see that info under "Tags" since it's related, if I have to click somewhere at all.

I've only just started using it though. We'll see if the good outweighs this, haha. It's not terrible, but it'll get annoying to do every time.

Edit: Spent some more time playing around. I think I'm liking Tubebuddy much better. Feels easier to use and is much cleaner looking. :) We'll see how it goes from here, but thus far, I'm happy I switched :D
