What's up with this constant channel hacking and bitcoin give away?

I'm so confused though - At that scale of a channel, they would have a youtube rep who they could talk to if this was just a hack. And the youtube rep would be able to see the IP address of where the person logged in from and maybe even the mac address of the device they used.

the video below should start at 4:51 seconds but it basically talks about how a lot of YouTubers have had their accounts hacked with the hackers posting bitcoin related scams. the hackers also deleted all the videos of a particular channel. Youtube said they will restore their videos but... it still hasn't happened though (I assume it harder than pressing 1 button)

Apparently the hackers did some social engineering hacking to convince the youtubers cellphone company to switch the mobile phone number to the hackers phone. Then used the cellphone number to reset the password. (ps. another YouTuber years ago experience similar things years ago... and talked about some ways to protect yourself against this form of hacking, because a few years ago cellphone companies were falling for this trick/social hack left and right.

all that to say - maybe the channel the original poster mentioned is deleted and in the process of coming back online?
