Whats the point in gaining subs who won't watch a video?

[Hex Armada]

In many youtube videos i see people advertising their channel in the comments. So they are using someone else's fame as an easy way to gain their fame. I think this is wrong and people should only subscribe to a channel if they like their content and want to see their future videos. Do you guys agree?

What if people do look at their channel and do like their content ?

Spam comments can lead you to inactive sub's and a bad reputation that even if you get successful could be jhard to shake off, especially if YouTubers you want to collab with recognize
The odd time you'll find a decent channel, but generally I just don't bother looking

I mean "sub 4 sub" is stupid as you want to discover someone who you like watching and sub them not discover them because you were forced to subscribe to them

Well with the new comments section where you can review comments your a lot less likely to see this happening in the comments. Also the new comments is great if you don't want people like that you can delete the comment or accept it to be public for the world to see

A lot of people do this and most of the time they're pretty small and looking to get big asap. These are the sot of people who if they don't get subs quickly from it will probably give up on youtube
