What's the consensus on TGN?

I don't really promote my gaming rant channel here because this board has a lot of gaming channels already and the comedy channel is more fun for me. But this morning I got an email from TGN asking if I'd be interested in a 3 month trial partnership.

Has anyone used them before? What's their reputation like?

They are quite funny with, I thought TGN had a no-lock in contract where you could leave whenever you want.

And I don't like them personally, I have really bad experiences regarding them, both with the network and with some of the staff, had nothing else than problems to be honest. I wouldn't go with them.

Thanks for replying. Would you mind going into a little more detail?

-I was waiting 1 month+ to get partnered and only due to the fact I nagged my recruiter to death that he should check my status regarding it I got partnered eventually due to it.
-In the period I was waiting to get partnered by them after I signed everything, I e-mailed the support with a message along the lines why it is taking so long and they replied with "We are sorry that your YouTube account was hacked, but we could help you recover it" while that obviously wasn't the message I have sent. I immediatly sent a message back regarding this with a small and polite rant and got as reply that it was meant for someone else. (talking about that you need to double-check)
-Well, they didn't reply to numerous politely written e-mails to get my channel unlinked from their network.
-I was a trial scout for the network and all we got was a useless handbook full with Illuminati symbols 'for the lulz' and the seniors didn't help jack (especially my senior didn't do jack), I asked the head of recruiting why the handbook was full with such immature jokes and he replied that they did it 'for the lulz' which is the most immature thing you could do in a management position. I want to add that we needed our seniors to actually partner people as we didn't had access to certain mechanics, which was kinda funny as my senior was gone/afk/busy 9/10 times and I lost quite some leads due to it around 16 in one week , luckily I haven't partnered a single one as my senior was always gone or whatever, as I really hate them now.
- They pay s**t compared to other networks.
- Their newsletter is just plain spam.

And some more stuff.

The general consensus among those in the know is that they used to be a good sitting ground. The no-lock contract meant you could access other partners for collabs, get the partner features and such, all with no committment. The CPM was always notoriously bad, but the no-lock kinda made that ok. They don't offer a no-lock contract anymore which takes away the biggest usefulness of the network IMO. They partner through BBTV which does not pay well. I'd avoid them to be honest.

The fact that they removed the no-lock in gives another reason to avoid them. I didn't know about this. I hate them even more now.

They've been going around to existing partners (especially ones considering leaving) and offering $100-$200 one time retention payments in exchange for resigning to a 2 year+ contract. lol. I've seen 3 of those emails so far, and these are 200,000+ view per month channels being offered such a pittance.
