Im currently using iMovie '11 its ok, easy to use, but i want more like a professional look. i tried to look into some other software but it looks really difficult to use. What Video editing software do you use, and would you recommend it for other people like me to use?

Thanks for all your answers i really Appreciate it! :)

I would recommend if you use a windows machine is Sony Vegas, as it is fairly cheaper that adobe or apple will charge. This will give you a more advanced look into video editing.

As I personal hate the new Final Cut X because it is very dumb down and limited, I would HIGHLY recommend saying away from it. Also with the time I have had with 6 & 7 that could be a way to go.

From there I would say Adobe Premiere (Windows & Mac) If your a College/University student you can get a huge discount from Adobe. This is what I have been using most the time I have been editing video.

Lastly for industry standard video editing AVID Media Composer which can set you back $2,000/£1,789 (Roughly) although this is top of the line, I found this to be so unstable when editing four hours worth of footage.

So I would say go with Vegas or Premiere, and stay clear of Final Cut X.

thanks and i like your newest video!

I've tried numerous different programs like Final Cut, I liked that one a lot but its really expensive to buy it. I'm a youtuber and have done videos on recording software too, but if you want I can research a bit more and upload a video for you to check out about editing software.

VideoPad, it costs money, but there's some video on Youtube which shows how to get it free, you just have to enter in a code that everybody can use.

i use Sony Vegas movie studio 11 it is the cheapest in the Vegas range but it is fine for what im doing at the minute.
