whats the best TIME to post videos?

I've Got It
i was reading the comments on a video and one of them asked why another channel uploads the same time the channel i was watching does. the channel replied and said that they told the other channel the best time to upload videos to get the most views. i doubt if i ask what that time is that he would answer. so i headed off to YTTalk! does anyone know when would be the best time of day to upload videos to get the most views based from experience?

Use Youtube Realtime Analytics to find out when your videos get the most views at the time and day, and upload accordingly.
 
I've read Monday during work hours because people like sharing stuff at school/work
I've read 8pm at night because it's prime internet hours

IDK what to do
 
those seem like logical times. plus u guys only have like 5 vids and a lot more subs than i do on any of my channels so it must be working. haha i subbed btw.
 
I always thought maybe during the weekends when people are free from school/work. Plus, if they're subbed they should be alerted of your newest vids at any time.
 
An old post on some random site stated the below analytics as well as a buncha other sites. they all said the same thing roughly so I'm thinking it's pretty close to accurate as can be, assuming you want to have the best chance for a video to be seen as soon as it's posted.

  • Higher requests occurred on weekdays than on weekends – as one would expect.
  • More requests occurred during the day than at night.
    • Steady increase in traffic to youtube from 8am until 1pm
    • Steady state of peak traffic between 2pm and 6pm
    • Steady decline in traffic between 7pm and 7am
  • So: Best time to upload your video to Youtube is:
    • During the week
    • Wed or Thurs is best
    • Submit your video between 12pm and 1pm as it can take up to an hour to upload and process your video. This way your video will be live during peak traffic at 2pm – that is the target.
 
i guess 2 - 6 makes a lot of sense because people are just getting off work/school and usually cant watch youtube there. i dont get why wednesday and thursdays would be the best days tho but i shall try it.
 
I would say any time comfortable for you, as your viewers will then have something to wait for (especially if you do really awesome content)
 
One piece of advice my friend gave to me was that if you are a small channel starting out, just remember that your subscribers are most likely subscribed to large, popular channels. Now, a lot of popular channels upload every other day, which means that the days in between is where the viewer has nothing to watch. If you upload those days, then the viewer will have something to watch every day, and will stay subscribed to your channel (most likely).

This technique may not work, I have not tried it yet. Maybe i'll test it, and see the difference in views between this way or a different uploading schedule
 
I kinda agree there @Mrmweiss1 though if you couldnt upload every day and stick to a schedule sometimes some subscribers will wait, and then they will interact with you to post more days if you can. which then you would because you would be making your subscriber happy, and then they will probably promote your channel because your doing what teh fans want.
