What's key in making a Profile Picture on any program?

Should I improve it or nah

I was just wondering since my channel profile pic didn't take long to make, should I improve it? Or leave the way it is.
 
It looks pretty good in my opinion. I think that the only thing it really needs is a better background to contrast with it. I would personally say that photoshop is probably the best program to edit text and backgrounds for a profile picture
