That's strange. I made a channel just a few days ago and they didn't force that on me. In fact, I tried to make one and they made it hard to do it, so I didn't.

It also doesn't make sense to me that you need your full google email address to sign in your youtube account now. GOOGLE doesn't require you to put the FULL address to sign in. I just don't it. No time soon will i be making a new account. How is the link for the new channels in any way practical..? I still don't get it. i liked it when i was simple.

Btw... You can put ANY NAME IN YOUR CHANNEL IF ITS ASSOCIATED TO A G+ PAGE
