Whats a good View : Sub : Video ratio?

Hmmm now you put it that way thats pretty cool, do you think this could be a reliable way of checking the health of a channel? Thank you very much, when I got into this I wasn't sure how hard it would be to enter the education video area haha

It's a little tricky in places because education isn't exactly everyone's first port of call when it comes to watching something online, but there are plenty of gaps in the market that I've seen so I think you'll do just fine as long as you stick to it! I could always stand to learn a little more science so I'll be sure to keep an eye for more videos of yours in future!

And I think it's definitely a good way of checking! My views and subscriber count are okay for the numbers I have, but I'm especially pleased with the level of engagement I've managed to maintain with my viewers. I get a lot of returning subscribers and I've learned over the last few months that it's a far more valuable thing to have over people who don't really care.

At the moment I have :
Subs : 3,284
Videos : 66

I somehow get around 100 subscribers per day. Yes, per day.
As for the videos, they get from 1,000 to 20,000 (rarely) views.

Gotta do 600 more videos.

Lots of sharing on Reddit as well as maintaining a heavy presence in every comment section. Ever.

Don't know why I've grown so much, honestly.

The sub:view ratio is a pretty meaningless statistic.

Example 1: Someone who has a ratio of 1 sub for every 50 views. Is that good or bad?

Well it might be considered "good" if you value subs more than views because it means you're getting a new sub for every 50 views. But it'd be considered "bad" if you value views more than subs because it means that you're not getting many views per new sub.

Example 2: Someone who has a ratio of 1 sub for every 10,000 views. Is that good or bad?

Well it'd be considered "bad" if you value subs more than views because it means you're "only" getting a new sub for every 10,000 views. But it'd be considered "good" if you value views more than subs because it means that you're getting loads of views per new sub.

A much more meaningful statistic as to the health of your channel is number of views per unique visitor. (the higher the better)

Right now I have:
8,445 subs
292 videos
11,135,230 views

So, an average of 38,134 views per video, but only 1 subscriber for every 1,318 views.

Regarding Crown's view per unique visitor statistic, mine is about 10 views per unique visitor.

Really its the Sub to view ratio you should be worried about.

Over time the number of videos you have posted can remain the same but still generate views, and therefore subs.

I could post a hundred videos and get no views, and thus no subs, that wouldn't necessarily mean my content was rubbish.

I could post 100 videos and get a million views and get no subs, that would mean my content was rubbish, but my marketing team would be getting a raise for generating the views.

Either Way you are doing better than me I am 57:1 on views:subs.

Good luck.

EDIT: unless you are not looking at this from the point of view of acquiring more subs. Then Subs can be an important variable again.
