What would happen?

I have a video with over 30+ million views. It's still getting hundreds of thousands of views a day, but for the next few weeks I want to make the video private. If I made it private for a few weeks, and then made it public again, would the views eventually go back to normal? Or would it never show up in the search results anymore, causing it to drop the views?

I can't confirm this but I would think your video would rank lower as the competing videos that rank right below you may go up in their ranking on the search page.

No it would change. In order for it to go back up once you make it public agian it would have to get alot of ratings and views.
