What Was Your Experience Vlogging in Public for the First Time Like?!?!?!

When I was with other people it was no problem but, the first time ALONE was pretty awkward. I'm from New York though and people are always doing something strange so it doesn't bother me much now.

I'm from Southwestern Connecticut so I'm like 45 minutes away form NY. There aren't as many strange people here but enough to not make you feel as awkward. NY is like the perfect place in my opinion to Vlog because like you said, the oddities out there make what you are doing (holding out a camera) less odd or strange compared to the other things going on around you.

What's up Vloggers, Film Makers, Incredible People, and etc.?!?!?!

I'm curious to know what your first time vlogging/recording in public was like! Mine was pretty nerve wrecking although I was in a semi empty mall.movie theater lol. I vlogged my experience and it is on my Channel if you would like to check it out. The video is called, "Deadpool Movie Experience" if you would like to check it out and please subscribe.

Let's share our experiences and make this a fun, interactive conversation!!!

#VibematicVlog
I actually just started doing my travel videos so I still remember my exact feeling. I put on headphones to make it feel less awkward and came to realize that nobody really cared unless the camera was pointed directly at them.

Then again...I live in Tokyo where most people can't even understand what I'm saying.

The more foreigners...such as myself...that were around, the more attention I got.

Wow, I could only imagine what it is like to Vlog there. I thought about the headphone idea but my damn headphones keep falling out so I decided to just throw myself into he deep end and just go for it. I like travel videos so I'm going to check your channel out. Thanks for the response and good luck with everything!

Good look to you too!

Just about to start a Pokemon Go Vlog like video myself, only reason I didn't start last week is because I'm nervous as hell..I live in Chicago so my plan is to incorporate a "Tourist Type Pokemon Go" video. Where I can go to really cool places like Millennium park, navy pier, chinatown, the zoo etc - show them a bit of Chicago while catching pokemon...and you know how many people live in Chicago? 2.7 million so yeah...I'm going to go talk to myself, make jokes to myself and laugh all while playing pokemon Go. LOL

Man that sounds cool! I wish I could join you and see Chicago but I think that is a great idea. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone right? Good luck, have fun, and I will be on the look out for when you upload it!

First video might be me at lollapalooza ;D and thanks a lot man!

My first (and only) time vlogging was at VidCon, so it wasn't too awkward because EVERYONE else was doing it too. Vlogging at Disneyland was a little more awkward, but once I got it into my head that no one is really paying attention to me and the likelihood of me knowing any of those people or seeing them ever again was pretty slim, I wasn't really bothered anymore. I don't think I'd be comfortable enough to vlog in my hometown, 'coz no one really understands YouTube here - it's essentially just where you go to watch cute animal videos here. Also, I'm boring af, so there'd be no content to my vlogs. Haha!

My first time was definitely a little awkward, but with time it has gotten better! I film with my boyfriend though and that helps a lot! We are in DC right now and we still will sometimes retake a video because there was a ton of people around
