What was your biggest obstacle?

What was your biggest obstacle starting as a youtuber? What was a hurdle you had to get over? Were you shy and didn't want to be on camera, but still had ideas you wanted to express? Or, were you perhaps the opposite?

For me personally, it was hearing the sound of my own voice. I don't actually do camera stuff, so I haven't had to get used to seeing myself, which I'm sure will present its own problems. But many people don't like the sound of their own voices because it sounds different to others than it does to you, not to mention it's recorded so you have the mechanical aspect of it as well. My voice made me cringe, and it's not that I've never actually heard it before, but exposing myself to it time after time used to make me cringe.

For me it was finally having the courage and the nuts to try and make my first video. I have never spent time infront of cameras so I had a serious sense of awkwardness to begin with but then I tried to just ignore the camera. That for me was by far the hardest thing so far.

When I first wanted to do it my obstacle was feeling intimidated by the technology. I had a degree in computing too. But my girlfriend at the time had to show me how to upload a video. And then more time went by before I learned to transfer videos and a whole lot of time learning the editing software etc.

:')
But I am trying to take being a content creator much more serious, and am officially treating it as if it where a full time job. Investing A LOT of time into it from here on forward.

"others"
meaning seeing people with views, subscribers, good channel art, many videos, good videos and so....
also meaning other people's opinions, critiques, negativity, even irony...
:)

Was working out where to start, I wanted to film myself talk but I couldn't do it where I'm living because this house gets as noisy as a 24 hour construction site.

After a little while of thinking about it, I decided to buy a strong suction cup mount and start filming in-car videos. Took a little while to get audio to how I want it and what time of the day to film and what position the sun should be to get a good exposure. Still filming in this style, much more fun driving around and filming!

I work full time, most of the time 6 days a week. So my biggest obstacle is finding time to go and film, I do almost sketch like vlogs, so regular uploads are key in my niche!

I just want to go out and film D:

The hardest thing on my channel was the actual video its self, I was always doubting myself whether what I'm uploading would be good enough for people to watch, however, that was in 2015, now with a new channel, new computer I tend to just upload what I feel is good. Still, I do sometimes not upload a video I've spent a few hours on since I don't think its good enough but heyo!

Time, time and ehhhhhh time:) these videos I make takes a lot of time and with two kids and work it can be so hard to find the time.. In the beginning I also worried about my the quality of my videos and if my channel would grow at all. I dont worry about that any more
