What Vid Cam for Pranks and Face Cam?

Hey hey! So I just got most of my props for my prank and now I need a video camera of some sort. My budget is around 300USD or possibly a little bit more.

I am looking for one that can be used in pranks and used as a face cam for gaming (but not important). I don't particularly know much about video, but I guess 1080p/HD, zoom function and possibly/maybe a port for wireless mic.

I am just looking for a good starter that I can use and not invest too much into it.

My first project is kinda like the magician guy that goes through drive through invisible or pretends to be unconscious. My project involves an anime pillow to try to confuse or make people cringe.
 
Do you have a separate recording device ? because I would say a go pro but if you don't have something separate for audio it wouldnt be the best idea

You would be talking about Rahat from MagicOfRahat. On his second channel about 2 months ago he did a equipment inventory video of his cams and mics etc, I will try find it for ya. Also definetly try find a camera with a mic input if your going to be doing pranks. I couldnt get one in Australia with a mic input for under $600. If filming the prank from a fair distance and candid I resorted to using the audio recorder on my iPhone then syncing it with the footage in post production but its a lot of messing around. Try find a camera with mic input and pick up a semi cheap wireless mic system from ebay.

Hey hey. I heard that go-pro doesnt have a zoom function eh? I am not sure if that is the case.

I would imagine his inventory would cost something in the thousands of dollars at this point haha. I know a lot of them use 3,000usd video cams with 300usd+ wireless mic setups.

If you have to zoom in, your camera man isn't doing his job right, specially with a go pro. Go pros wont be seen
