What to talk about during a live gaming commentry?

Depends on what your style is.
You can talk about the gameplay, graphics or everything else related to the game or you can talk about everything else that goes on in your life!

I think it's best to talk about what's happening in the game. And I feel it's not a must to talk through out the game session.

I've been watching video walkthroughs from theradbrad and he doesn't do a lot of talking.

As long as your gameplay is interesting or the game is interesting, people will enjoy all the same

Talk about anything, for example you can first talk about the game then talk about something that happened to you, then you can talk about what you ate and did you like it, you can ask the viewers if they eat just wing it, pretend your talking to someone you haven't seen in a while and now your catching up :)

Talk about whatever you want. Whatever you feel is rant worthy. Just make sure it's something you feel like you could really go on a rant about.

I would say make a list of topics that you could talk about during the commentary if you want to start a conversation. Or you could talk about the game in some detail, talking about how you first heard about it, whether or not you are enjoying it and so on. Plus you can always react to stuff that is happening in the game as you go along. It is kinda down to your personal preference and own style of commentary :)

For live commentary, I'd just talk about whatever I'm thinking, anything about the game or whatnot. If you want to talk about a specific topic, sometimes it works out better to just dub it over some gameplay and perhaps have a script for what you're gonna say

Hey guys!

I am just wondering what is the best policy when doing live commentry, do i talk abut whats hapening on the game such analysing what is happening in front of mean and explaining what is happening?
I find that to be one of my pet peeves. Don't explain whats happening as we can already see it. Instead if there is any plot points given then perhaps give theories on what you think is going to happen if you haven't played the game before.

I tend to poke fun at the game and things that are happening. I even poke fun at myself if ever I do something wrong but that's just me. I tend to just let my sense of humor shine. Maybe any interesting history about the game? Any easter eggs or pointers to give to players?

Hey man! One thing I wouldn't do is have a script for gaming commentary. If u check out my vids you can tell that I have to basically just make up as I go kind of thing. DO NOT script it, because as you know...video games are so unpredictable and crazy things happen. Lag, glitches,, and you just never know! So basically just go with it. Comment on exactly what you are seeing, what you are doing, where you are heading, what your main goal is, how you plan to achieve it, tell a story about a recent time you played and basically just anything related to gaming! Keep it in the boundaries of the game you are playing though! Do not talk about another game while playing different one. Just simply talk about ANYTHING related to the game!

It's actually pretty simple. Doing games commentary is heavily driven by your current emotions so it's not something you can script or anything. Just be yourself, say anything that comes to your mind. I'm not saying you can turn off your filter and start talking about fried bananas, but you get the point. When you're playing games, you sure think about what's going on on the screen. Talking about stuff, offending that STUPID. BOSS. JUST. DIE. YOU. DUCK.... yeah, right there. So all you have to do is just speak your mind. Maybe it's not the best advice you can get, but for that's what it's all about. Just letting your thoughts speak.
