What started your channel growth?

My youtube got its start through lots of collaboration in black ops 2 for my first 200 subs, then i stopped youtubing for around 6 months. Started up again in febuary of this year and am now at 320, and thats because the GTA forums really liked my video series. I get a lot of traffic from there.
 
My first episode of Outlast has got the second place on youtube search and first on google search for France.

Then I made a compilation and it has got upload by a community channel (800k subs)
