What Should I Do?

Okay, so I've been working on this YouTube video idea that should be much better than any of the videos that I have already done. It's professionally made and directed so it should look good! But my dilemma is that it's been over a week since I've uploaded a video due to this taking some time to accomplish... I mean, it's already mostly filmed and now just needs editing. I guess my question is... Is it ok that I don't upload anything to my channel for like 2 weeks? I mean I would try to upload something but I'm focusing primarily on this idea... Gah I dunno haha

You should of made short vlogs every so often to update everyone on the big project. Would of given you some videos and make you appear more active.

Since beginning of December I only uploaded 5 video and still gained almost 1000 Subscribers.
There are also quite some channels on YouTube with only a very few videos and yet they have millions of views and thousands of subscribers.
Uploading a lot of videos doesn't bring you any further. It's about the quality of your content.
So I think it's totally fine not to upload any video for 2-3 weeks but then come out with a really cool one.

I think you're completely true in what you're saying, and yes! It's all about the quality of the videos! I guess it's when you get a big YouTube audience that it's then the time to upload regularly or create a schedule [DOUBLEPOST=1427576985,1427576873][/DOUBLEPOST]

I may not be able to create a videoed update for this project as most of the filming is done But you can be sure than in the future I will climb upon the wagon and update regularly! Thank you btw for the advice though!

Okay, so everyone is right as far as updating your subscribers go. But the other reason you should make sure that you upload is YouTube's algorithm. If their aren't people interacting with your channel and videos for a while; then your videos will sometimes not show up in their feed. I believe "The Game Theorists" made a video about this a while ago.

Oh really? Damn YouTube haha! Yep! Yet another reason for uploading regularly and I'm sure to do so in the future when I start working on my other YouTube videos! Thanks again!
