What matters more? Watch time or total minutes watched? For example, if I make a video that gets 10,000 views and 4 minutes watched out of 15 on average, is that better than 1,000 views and 7 minutes out of 15 on average?

For me personally views matter more than watch time. I think its harder to get traffic than improving watch time. Cuz you can always start making shorter videos or look at your video and throw the stuff out that majority of ppl don't care about but its harder to get the video out there especially when you make a 1k vs.10k comparison i'll deff choose the 10k views and s****y watch time.

Both, as watch time contributes to your views more than anything if you're partnered. As for views, anyone can view your video for a second and it would count, IP Addresses are all different, but I would want people to watch the video entirely rather than just watching a split 2 seconds of the video and that would be all.

Making videos is to bring content that is enjoyable for YOUR viewers, if your just getting viewers watching 2 seconds or less of your video that is a bad outcome for the future of your channel. The time watched on your videos determines whether or not your channel is getting enough publicity as well as enjoyment from your viewers. The more Watch Time you have, the high possibility you'll get more views in the long run.

Total watch time is very important. Audience retention seems to be the most important thing to YouTube, not only how long the audience stays on your video, but also how long they stay on YouTube after coming into the platform on your video. They basically want eyeballs on ads for as long as possible.
