For me it's when people engage in my videos :P
It just makes me so happy when I see a like or a comment on my videos :D

Wish I could have started YouTube a long time ago, it's really fun :)
 
Comments are the best, also when someone who likes my videos follows me on some kinda of social media :) they cared enough to wanna follow me somewhere else

That's 100% right! :)
I think it's amazing how social media can give such motivation, not just to make videos but a overall well being. That's atleast how i feel :)
 
I like when someone comments on a video you haven't promoted in a while, so you know they actually were checking out your channel and not just saying something to get checked out in return.
 
When I hear my brother telling other people about my youtube channel.
When people tell me that my videos have helped them.
When while filming I capture a happy moment with friends. It's on video now, never to be forgotten. :)

On YouTube? I like huge view spikes, it means some site shared and I take a look at my analytics to see if they have a submission area to share similar videos, this has worked in the past.

I also like when I see a comment on a GoPro video where that video finally made them say "wow amazing. ok the decision has been made, I need this camera!" And then a week later I see them doing GoPro videos. I think I've convinced at least 10 people but probably more like 20 to get a GoPro so far.

I think it's safe to say that comments make me happy. I'd definitely agree with EmilyJM on this one, when it comes to getting followed on other social media sites. It makes you think that they're people who care instead of just a number.
 
Soooo many things make me happy but mostly since im starting out and my videos are soo mediocre, Just seeing my view count go up by even 1 or getting feedback by people makes me smile until the ends of time!
 
Seeing nice comments make me happy, I actually have one subscriber that watches almost all the videos I upload,and always leave a nice comment. Makes me happy :)
