What makes a low quality youtuber?

To add something a bit different. Ive noticed several bigger youtubers who got lazy as they got bigger. their growth was locked in and they now know they can upload anything and get views. This drives me a little crazy. I understand not every video can be a masterpiece, but come on....

I am the perfect example of a low quality Youtuber.

Bad mic
Bad sound quality
Bad video quality
Bad humor
Bad singing talents
Bad video editing
Bad sound editing
Bad audience retention
Bad promotion

1. Video Quality; If you can't be bothered to at least upload 720p you probably shouldn't upload anything unless it's something you do for fun. Nothing ticks me off more than not being able to up the quality from the 360p/480p setting. 1080p is something a smartphone can do nowadays and everyone seems to have one.
2. Audio; Wind noise can and will happen, I am not talking about that. But if I can't understand a word you are saying we've got an issue. A current smart phone will more than adequately capture audio in a vlog setting.
3. Uploading content for the sake of uploading content (usually on a daily basis). I dislike daily uploads when there is no clear connection between videos or it's just filler. I probably won't find that type of channel anyway, but what I have seen in daily uploads is usually very crap in the visual, audio and content department. There is enough garbage on YouTube already, don't add to it.

Inconsistent uploading. While it is not imperative that you upload every day, once a week, twice a month etc, it is important that you maintain some level of regularity.

This is IF you're aiming for high subscribers and/or viewership. If that's not your aim, then there is no expectation. But if you're trying to learn, it's still important to try to meet some schedule.

I consider no one to be low quality really; everyone tries there best and aims to be high quality. However i do believe people that dont correctly create jumpcuts and leave areas where theres no talk and random silence to not keep my attention as much as other videos.

I am in no place to comment about equipment quality. We use a digital camera and sometimes webcam (this is happening less now camera memory is no longer an issue.) Also we don't have a mic. Oh, and I use moviemaker for certain editing things. It kinda irks me that people are so hung up on that. Like the actual content could be great (not referring to ours here, we are still trash XD) but people will click away if it's not super- HD using a binaural mic or whatever.

Anyway, I assess quality on the actual youtuber. It's about being engaging. If you sit perfectly still and talking monotone for ten minutes, chances are I'm not gonna stick around. Make yourself interesting, be big! Be facially and vocally expressive! Let your personality shine through on screen.

Its done in a funny jokey way so I wouldn't worry, you're more like michael Jackson's 'bad' :D

There is no such thing as a low quality youtuber. There are youtubers who are relatively unexperienced. And there are videos that are low quality. But a youtuber has quality whether fully realized or still undeveloped.

That being said, the quality of a video lies in the core idea that it tries to convey, how original that idea is, and how well it is presented in the video. A low quality video would be a video without a strong original idea/content that is poorly presented.

I am much more forgiving of technical shortcomings. I'd much rather look at a video with strong original concept and with lots of technical shortcomings, than the other way around.

I need to do this, I wish I could schedule my videos, I'm the most inconsistent youtuber ever lol
