What Lenses Do You Use?

wow you got the STM? I got the non STM one XD
the STM is expensive...

Yeh I got it with the camera in a kit - I just heard the STM was the quieter one, so the AF noise wouldnt be picked up in recordings - but then I started to use an external mic anyways! lol

Im ptobaly going to keep the lens, and sell the camera body only, and go for the 70D as soon as its released. I really want the continuous autofocus in my videos - although the 650D can do it, its just too slow and its hugely noticable in videos when its searching for focus - so I tend to focus manually most of the time. The 70D should be much better as its AF is like a proper video camera, and it tracks really nicely.

Just the one i got with my canon.. unless you do fotography, lenses dont play a big role! Filming lenses are super expensive xD #superpoorATM

I tend to use my 18-55mm for music video shots and my 50mm MK1 for vlog videos. I want to begin to use my old 24mm Wide-Angle Vivatar Lens. I've just been waiting to get an EOS to M42 adapter.

Just about all of my Video were shot with Android phones. For the random stuff that I video its easier than carryin around a large camera

I usually use Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II for short distance and Canon EF 75-300 mm F/4.0-5.6 III USM for other things.

I use 3 Nikkor lenses.

I have a 16-35mm f/3.5:5.6G, a 24-120mm f/4G, and a 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G.

And the body is a Nikon D5100 <3

But for now, i'm shooting with my tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, because one of the sensor's pixels burned. Yes, just one, but it was one of the middle.

So, yeah.

I just read above that lenses do not play a big role unless you are doing photography, which is not true. ... Anyway, I actually get a lot of use out of my 18-55 kit lens on my t3i, but there are a lot of times when I'll switch up to my Sigma 24mm f/1.4 when I'm shooting in low light or doing an interview/vlog close up. Sometimes I also opt for my canon 50-250 macro; totally depends on what I'm filming.

Mainly I film with my 16-35 f2.8 L, for zoom I use my 24-105 f4 L, then for static shots like vlogs and interviews I use the 28mm f1.8

I would love to get a nice fish eyes lens but I gotta upgrade my body from the 7D to FF. Just waiting until I burn out this 7D sensor before upgrading lol.

Also, glass makes a huge difference when doing video, not just in still photography lol.

Loving my Tamron f/2.8 28-75mm lens for my Canon T3i. I also sometimes use the very cheap (and excellent for video at $150 or less) Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens.[DOUBLEPOST=1374344693,1374344591][/DOUBLEPOST]

For image quality, I'd stick with the 24mm more often for video, prime lenses usually have better quality than just some kit lens.
