What kind of laptop/desktop should I be using for editing?

My Macbook Pro Retina was 1200 and it's great for editing. The storage isn't that great but I'm sure you could find external har drives that will cost you 40 bucks easily.

I was looking into macbook pros and you can get alot more bang for your buck elsewhere.

I have an HP desktop with 16GB RAM, a video card with 2GB RAM, an intel i7 processor running at 2.92GHz, 1TB 7800rpm hard drive, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I have a viewsonic 20" led backlit lcd monitor. I use Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Audition to edit. I shoot and edit and render in 4K.
