What Kind of Camera Should I Get?

Video Game Cinema

Kicking names, and taking butts... I think?
Hey guys, I'm wondering what kind of Camera I should get. I just recently bought one, and for a lack of a better word... It sucks. I just used it yesterday to record my latest Video, and it looks pretty... Suckish. I don't really understand it... I looked at advertisements, and watched some Reviews of the Camera through YouTube, and it looked great for what I needed it for. But, now I know that either something is wrong with my Camera, or the Ads and Reviews for this Camera are wrong and stupid. (No offense to the maker of the video)

So, now I need to save up for another Camera. One that doesn't suck, but one that isn't too expensive. That's what I thought this Camera was. Good, and somewhat Cheap. So, can you guys recommend any good Camera's that might be under $500?

This is the camera I use: http://full.sc/1hS4p1h

Or if you're looking for something smaller, I also have used this camera in the past. It's good quality, and it's small so easy to carry around. http://full.sc/1fNR6tx

The camera the SHAYTARDS use now is like a $200 Canon Powershot. Not sure of the exact model, but you can just find that out yourself on Google. Quality looks great for the money.

Out of interest what camera are you currently using? and you know it's not always the camera that's the problem... it's all about lighting, bad lighting can make the best of cameras look terrible and awesome lighting can make the worst of cameras look great.

If you want a good cheap camera go for a toshiba camileo, look it up, and if you want quality for cheap then go for a DSLR called the canon EOS rebel t2i :)

You know what. I bet that's what it is. I can be so dingy sometimes... But, here is the Camera info. Samsung White HMX-F90 HD Camcorder with 52x Optical Zoom, 2.7" LCD Display is what Wal-Mart says it is. If it is the lighting, how do I fix this? I mean, what kind of lights should I buy, and how many?

Well the cheapest thing to do is just use lamps you have around the house. I would have a light on the background, one angled at your face (maybe use a defuser so you don't blind yourself) and then maybe one flood light (a big, normally white light which lights basically everything.

You can normally create this set-up with 2 lamps and a celling light, you can go and buy a 2/3 point lighting set-up but the cheapest one I've seen is around £80-£100 on Amazon. It's must cheaper and easier to just use lamps you have around the house.

Go on youtube and just search "DIY 3 point lighting" and you'll get loads of tutorials. (this lighting is for lighting a person/people normally which I'm guessing is what you would like).

Ok! Thanks! I'll try to do that. It sure sounds better than having to buy another Camera! :D

So annoying seeing camera thread after camera thread, that ask the exact same thing. If you research the other 20 threads that ask this, you can find beneficial answers.
