What keeps you going?

When I know that I am still making progress on youtube, be it more views, better ratings, more activity on my channel in general. Also, whenever I am enjoying myself when I make piano covers. :)

Good comments keep me going. If I see that people are enjoying my videos it gives me a purpose to keep uploading

Interesting question for me, as I have just returned from my "break" from YouTube.
A better question would be "Why can't you (we) leave YouTube?" and for that I answer..
We have discovered something revolutionary in it's infancy, everyone dreams of being the first on the bandwagon for the next big idea and we've found it.. That in itself is compelling enough to form some sort of "YouTube addiction" as I call it.. Nobody wants to be left behind on a lost opportunity.

This has probably already been asked before but oh well. What keeps you going on the days you feel like your videos aren't getting the attention it deserves? Just curious, I've never once thought about quitting and I never will. For me, I keep going because of how much I love doing what I do. Regardless of views and money. Also, the comments I get on both my channels. One of my most recent ones, "Whoa, best video I've seen on youtube in awhile". Comments like that motivate me even more than I already am to keep going. What about you?

That's good man, I just started but I hope I can stay motivated like that as well! I looked through your videos and I gotta say they're really good man, I like how they're concise and you definitely have the personality to be engaging. Keep up the good work!

P.S. I'm your 200th subscriber what's my prize?? haha

Oh wow, last time I checked my subs *which wasn't long ago* I had 195 subs. Your prize is a big :up2: for letting me know! Ha, and thanks for the compliment.

It's a question I ask myself a lot.
I love recording and having fun, but when there's no views or feedback it can easily put me in a rut.
It never stops me from recording, but it does sometimes put me in depressed moods, which then usually lead to determined moods of continuing and pushing forward.

Yeah getting no views sucks. I'm lucky enough to where even my lowest moods aren't that low. When I do get low tho I watch a couple videos on youtube that never fail to motivate me right back to my highest level again.

I approach my channel as a hobby. It's what I like to do when I get out of work and am stressed the heck out. It helps me unwind and helps me take a crazy day and laugh at it. What keeps me going? It depends on which day of the week you ask me. A few things that don't hurt are the awesome people I've befriended along the way. Sometimes it's a sweet as heck comment. As for views, I tend to keep my expectations low, so that I'm never disappointed. I have the mindset that not everything is going to be perfect and if it doesn't get any views, just keep on trying...and eventually something has to give.

well i mostly make my videos because i love music and singing, but im very very shy in real life, so this is my way of sharing it.
i don't get upset when i don't have a lot of views, i just look at the views and comments that i do have and feel happy that im able to share my talent :)
