Hey guys,
So I've been doing Youtube for a fair few months now, and currently I'm at 165 subscribers. In this time I feel like I've learnt a little about gaining/losing subscribers.
So for a while I only posted gameplay videos, of Minecraft, Skyrim etc. I really didn't get a lot of traction doing this, averaging about 45 views a video.
In the last week I've posted some different videos that were more original, such as "The Elder Scrolls VI - Location Ideas And More". This video gained roughly 200 views in a day, and the view count it still rising steadily. I also got roughly 15 subscribers too (so far). From this I have gleaned that it's not necessarily how many videos you upload that get you subscribers, rather it's how interesting and original they are. I mean, who is going to want to watch your Minecraft let's play when there are already thousands of other one's out there? You need to make original content that people will want to watch in order to get bigger.
I'm no expert, but this seems like some solid advice. Any feedback/contributions are welcome
Thanks,
Avarti.
