What is Vlogging?

SharSjar

Loving YTtalk
Maybe this is a stupid question.. But what is vlogging really? A lot of people do it and I want to add it to my channel as well, but in order to do that I need to know what it actually is.

Because I have no clue to be honest. I just believe that in order to upload something, you need to know what it is.

So if I would make a video about how frustrating it is that my vegas kept crashing last night, that I tried different things to make it work. Would that be vlogging?

Do you need to edit once you've recorded your 'vlog'?

Help me out guys :P Thank you~

Vlogging is video blogging. Technically a video with just you in it talking is vlogging. For examples, you could look at my videos if you want. They are all vlogs. Not promoting myself just giving you some examples. Your video idea would be vlogging. Have a nice day!!

I've moved your thread to the YouTube forum. The "site support" forum is for support questions related to using the YTtalk forums. :)

Yeah vlogging is just talking, and voicing your opinion about something for others to hear, so showing people your experiences while you do it.

Vlogging is much like facebook aha but with a camera, You will be explaining what you are doing during your day, how your doing it and how your feeling etc... You would have to edit your videos as you will most likely ramble on unless you want a long video, it all depends on what you want your end result to be.
I would check out Charlie McDonnell, Dan Howell, Joe Sugg, Amber Kirk-Ford, Tyler Oakley, Helen Anderson, Zoe London and Sprinkle of Glitter AKA Louise Peatland to get ideas for your videos on what to do :3

At the end of the day stay true to yourself and best of luck !

This question bugs me a lot! I've heard so many people say "haha I haven't vlogged in forever" ... when they've been uploading what I would call vlogs, consistently. There seem to be a lot of people who mean "take the camera with me all day and record what I do" when they say vlogging (daily vlogging, etc), and that seems to be upheld by advertisements for "vlogging cameras" when they have features like flip-up screens and small bodies and such. But I agree with the other posters here; vlog = video blog, and should be able to be about anything.
