What is the Difference Between Let's Play, Review, and Walkthrough Videos?

I just had a heated discussion with a close friend of mine who has never made videos. He's into gaming just like me and was telling me how I should do stuff for my channel which he had some good ideas but here's the disagreement.

I define the title subject as the following.

Let's Play = Screwing around with a game, playing through it for the first time or just playing through again with commentary that is meant for entertainment and isn't exactly meant to be informative or a walkthrough.

Review = Just sums up the points to say if the game is good or not, and whats good and whats bad in a very concise fashion if possible.

Walkthrough = An informative video or series that is designed to actually show you how to complete a level or area of a game and thats all. It's meant to walk you through something you are stuck at.

He was saying a review is what I say is a let's play. A let's play is what I say a walkthrough is. And that there needs to be another title for a video for someone screwing around with stuff (like Pewdiepie does for lack of a better example).

Who is correct and if we are both wrong tell me how that way I can label my s**t right.

I find those descriptions are pretty accurate, Lets Play is more lets have fun, the person might not have too much knowledge of the game. Where as a walk through, a person knows their s**t. A review is well a review :P

So if you want to do just screwing around, but not include cut scenes or long form playing of the game. Then you could come up with a catchy title, since it wouldn't really be a lets play or walk through.

Let's Play- just playing the game for fun, usually with some kind of commentary about what is happening in the game.
Review- You talk about what makes the game good or bad.
Walk Through- You're teaching other players how to play the game.

My Point exactly. Also when making a video is it better to be concise or elaborate on things. Because I think it's better to actually explain at some form of length in a review stuff about a game? Not saying go on for 20 minutes but say a lot in very little time. Or should you keep it bare basic, no real thought just say its good or not and whats great vs what sucks?

I agree with your definition for each of them. That's how I always thought about it.

I would put that in the Let's Play category. It is what is sounds like, someone playing (a game). Technically, you don't have to play through a whole game in a Let's Play, although that's how most people do them.

I think you should state your point first off and then elaborate. Like "The graphics are good. They're not overly pixelated or blurred." Not just "The graphics are good." To me, it sounds better and more professional.
