what is it like to be famous on YouTube?

Hey man, i think about some of those things pretty often. I just recentally got my partnership and have acchieved my goal of 1k subscribers, so i am a little famous. In my town of about 7,000 people, most people in the town know who i am and what i do, 90% of the school has seen my videos, but about 98% have heard of my videos and i ALWAYS get asked "When's the next video" or a few people say to me "i haven't seen any videos recentally (i made one this past weekend), new video tonight! every day!". So in my little town, i am famous, but it also depends on where you define the line of "famous". I hope that one day i will be there, can't wait for the comments, subscribers are still a big deal to me. I think that after 3 or 4k, the numbers will really start to loose it's luster and not thrill a person anymore. I get people that just pass me in the hallways and say "it's Grant Casual!" Youtube has gone good for me, but i wish the results were bigger, life's hard, gotta try harder XD. Check out my videos?

Oh god this is kinda weird but I guess I've reached the so called "famous on youtube" status. Having 120k subs is actually not that much compared to the SUPER famous youtubers but I'll tell you my personal thoughts on what it is like in a daily basis.

- First of all, get prepared to get asked a lot of questions... most importantly get prepared to get asked the same questions over and over again every day. When you're getting a lot of views from totally different people, they will most likely think of the same thing to ask.
- Then also once you reach a certain popularity, your fans will set standards on your content so if you create content that is somewhat out of the norm of your usual uploads, be prepared to get hated on or questioned by your fans. People subscribe to your channel to get more of what you're already doing, so if you do something that's completely different from that, it usually gets kinda heated.
- REQUESTS people will request you to do something all the time which is also a good thing cus it gives you plenty of ideas and feedback of what the people want from your channel
- HATERS! You can't be famous without having haters or trolls so be prepared to deal with them. (i just ignore them)

Well now the stuff I pointed out might not seem very appealing but there is one main benefit of being well known on youtube, and that is support. Once you have a loyal fan base, the amount of support that people give you is just really remarkable and it gives you the best feeling and proud that you are a youtuber. They'll be by your side in your ups and downs and it's really a special and unique bond. You'll always have your yeeee old subscribers that have followed you since you started your channel and it's really like taking a journey with a bunch of people and you are in the front guiding them to new forms of entertainment.

I started by channel around 5 years ago and got it to where it was the old fashion way, just keep making material that people enjoyed and would want to share. Eventually you will get known for your hard work and doors will start to open, but it will be a long and hard road and you even need some luck to get strike it big on youtube.
