What is considered a Vlog?

I've been curious if there is a true definition of a Vlog? Can a Vlog fall under anything that's just someone talking into the camera? I've seen some people read books on youtube and they consider it a vlog while some consider it entertainment.

Does a Vlog also mean there is no professional audio and just whatever happens happens?
 
Vlog should be always professional, with good camera and audio, vlog is just a video of you giving information so it can be anything you want :)
 
I've always thought of a vlog as where you have a camera that you bring around with you and show people your day, like CaseyNeistat or BFvsGF. But it also could be generally stated as an internet/camera video where you talk to the camera.

Tech. speaking, a vlog is a video version of a blog. So all of YouTube is tech. people posting vlogs lol. However, when you speak of vlogs in the YouTube community we use it in a different way. We consider a vlog to be more natural so like traveling, and following everyday life. While we call other videos entertainment. So it totally depends on the aspect.
 
I always just took vlogs for what they are. Video logs. I always saw them as something like a diary entry that could always be watched and reflected on, whether it just be your thoughts, a day out, reading a book, whatever really.
