What is AdWords and how does it work?

Yeh your channel looks pretty good I just checked it out :D I'm sure it'll grow quickly. Don't take my word about adwords there might be an easy way to just pay $10 and get your 1000 clicks or whatever but I couldn't find it for the life of me.
Thank you so much!! that was really nice of you! I think I'm going to wait for awhile with this adwords... but it seems interesting....[DOUBLEPOST=1429819416,1429819179][/DOUBLEPOST]
It is good but only if you know precisely what is your target audience so you can set up properly the campaign (demographics - age, sex, geography, interests, keywords, etc. etc).
If you use the generic settings with some symbolic changes it will be most probably waste of money - of course it will deliver a bunch of views but that's all it will do.
Sounds complicated... thou interesting. But I'll just hold that thought on adWords for now....But I will def try it someday!

As people explained before AdWords is used to help you set up advertisements within YouTube videos. There is no contract but obviously you have to agree to their terms and say "I accept". As for the budget, I just did a campaign today and I selected a $5 budget so it's really cheap and you have full control of your budget. They give you an estimate of how effective your budget will be, for example I was given an estimate that about 250 views per day would see my ad. Also when you create a "campaign" you can be selective to who sees your add based on demographics and location which is amazing because you target exactly who you want.

Is it worth it? I literally just started my campaign today so I can't speak for myself, but I have heard several stories of people on YTtalk who said great things about getting their views boosted, but not sooo much for their subscribers.

Hope that helps :)

Thank you so much! it does help! this campaign you talk about, is it, for one of your videos or the channel? and by "ad" you mean an actual ad?? or one of your videos as an ad? I don't get it.... :(

I'm still new at this, but I believe when you create a campaign its for a video on your channel, you can choose to use one of your videos that you already have or some people make a 30sec ad to sum up their channel, so it really depends on what you want to promote.
