What Is A Good Audience Retention?

Does anyone else get these strange graphs in their relative audience retention? I have no idea if I should consider these to be good or bad, because it goes up and down so much. Is this from people skipping around in the video or what? Also, what is considered a good percent and a good average time watched? Most of my videos tend to just go up and down around the "average" line.

Here are two examples of the "strange" graphs I mentioned:

It really all depends on a persons preferences. Al though good numbers would be the higher the view time the better, but of course, as your graphs depict, may not always be the case. On one hand, I'd be happy if the line stays in range or above the average mark(anything more is a bonus)

You have a good graph but it also matters how many people are watching your video. YouTube looks at your retention as well as total minutes watched by your viewers.

I suggest looking at both of these graphs to see where you held people's attention. The second graph is a little more useful to me because it compares your video with similar ones to see what the best spots were.
