What is a good Audience Retention average?

I always seem to overlook this stat. My channel's average retention is 31%, and duration is 1:51. Is this good, average, or downright bad?

Lol, mine is 7.1%, but I have way longer videos. I guess uploading a 12 hour video isn't helping too much either.

I have seen some very large YouTuber's stats and 1:51 is close to what they get too so I would say that you are average/good.

Mine's at 14% and 1:46. My average video is about 15 minutes though, and I only started re-gaining audience retention after a long period of losing it badly.

Mine is at 51% and has always hovered in between 48% and 53%. Dont know if its good but I do know my friend Creepy the Clown is at 67% which has to be excellent!

My average is at 22%, which isn't really too great. I'm trying to get my future videos shorter though, which should help on that quite a bit ^_^

Mine is 64%. I think a lot has to do with the genre of videos you are doing though.

the more i think about this stat the more i think it's not all that helpful

ironic, isn't it? i mean, you want ppl to keep watching, but video length has a lot to do with this stat and that can be all over the place on any given channel
