Or the people who subscribe to your channel, send you a message saying, "hey great videos, I subbed, check out mine?" and then unsubscribe to you. Wow. Great promotion technique right there. [/sarcasm]

I honestly would not want to sub everyone, I can't be active with EVERYONE!!! But I would like to think I will continue to find great new channels on here and hopefully people will continue to find me.

On principal I'm wholly against Sub-for-Sub as all it seems to do is boost the subscription number while video views and feedback are non-existent.

BUT - And it's a big but (hehe) - providing there's a lot of variety on this forum giving that people like gaming/vlogs/skits/cartoons ect... it could possibly work.

I'm rather selective of the people/channels I subscribe too. There is just no way I can subscribe to everyone and be diligent about actually replying or trying to be constructive/engaged with every single one. I don't want to "lead anyone on" and unsubscribe later--that just gives people a bad impression of me.

And you're right about the subs vs views argument. I would rather that people interact with my videos and view them from end to end rather than subs. At least I'm getting legit views versus illegit subs.

The only problem I have with this is that I would not be truthful to myself. I'm all for growing my subscriptions on YouTube, but I don't want to subscribe to channels I know I won't watch. That's nothing against anyone on here, there is an audience for everyone.
I'm more inclined to subscribe to comedy channels and vloggers. I only would want people subbing to me too if they enjoy my content too.

Exactly how I feel. At least, even with the 70 or so subscribers that I have, I can count on them to actually watch and enjoy my videos.

Exactly... My words. Don't wanna subscribe to someone I won't watch. Also, I don't want subscribers that wouldn't like ro watch my channel...
