What i have noticed.

Mr Not That Famous
Some youtubers who use to upload like every other day, once they make it "big" tend to upload every other month or some crap like that, NOT WEEZYWAITER, hence im still subbed to him even if i dont watch every single upload, but yea i unsubbed to a few.

I've noticed some YouTubers doing this as well. It especially sucks when you enjoy watching them, and then their upload rate is low. I used to watch SuperMac18 all the time, and then one day he disappeared for 6 months. Then he made a video saying he's back, and his next upload wasn't for a year later. -.-

To be fair, SSoHPKC does this - he won't upload for a month, then go on an 'uploading spree'; uploading 10s of videos over 24 hours. He's getting better and more consistent now though.

I did a video every day for a year and a half. The channel got popular and now I do 3-4 videos a week. I still have my regular job so doing a video every day was taking it's toll.

Besides, revenue-wise, there isn't much difference in uploading 15 videos a month compared to 30.

If somebody built a channel up and then walked away, maybe they were making their money from some videos that get lots of views and the daily/weekly stuff wasn't generating enough views to make it worth their while.

Maybe they just got busy or bored. Think about what you were doing 5 years ago and are you still doing those same things today.

*wink*
And yes, I've noticed that with some YouTubers. but I guess there's pressure to create better content and they need some time? It's a guess.

Hard to say why some go through this..I have to agree with some of the things said here..Hard to maintain a video a day pace..especially if the You Tuber has a real life job. I know for myself..I upload a new video once every two days and that is just riding that fine line between too much and just right for me. With making content, editing, rendering and uploading..on top of a full time job, family and "real life" it can be a bit hectic. Luckily for me, I have the most wonderful woman supporting me and wants to see me succeed at this almost as much as I do. ((Love you hun!))

I think if you build a good audience and get a good subscriber count its okay to slow down. The Vlogbrothers did videos every day for a year then dropped down. The only difference is they upload 2 videos a week consistently. They haven't let anyone down. Once every month or so...unless they've explained something then I wouldn't be too happy about that.

Really? Haven't noticed this on those that i'm watching, the only times they announce it and have proper reasons! Usually big youtuber does this for their living so they surely must have a proper reason :D
