Have you thought about asking him to help you? I am fortunate that my wife doesn't mind the time I spend on the vids; she's just happy to know where I'm at. Anyways he can help with the lighting, camera setup and other mundane but horrendously time consuming task....he warned me if I don't spend more time with him, he is getting rid of all of my equipment and I won't be allowed to make videos anymore...
I hope I can be transparent with my subscribers at least, and at the same time make this into a career.

He bought me my equipment which is his idea of being involved. He doesn't want anything else to do with it which is fine, I can of prefer doing it on my own anyway. Although one thing is that he bought me this equipment so I can do YouTube and turn it into a career for $$. He did not buy it for me to do it as a hobby. When he found out I had only made one makeup tutorial, he was like "you need to make more makeup tutorials!! That's where the money is at! I didn't buy you this equipment so you can do random videos!" Haha bless is heart. I think it's cute he thinks that me doing makeup tutorials are going to make me rich. Lol. Yah okay.mif I do makeup tutorials it's cause I love makeup, not necessarily to make money.mif anything, makeup tutorials will cost me more money than anything I could make. I plan on doing a Mac and Chanel haul... That's why. *shrug*Have you thought about asking him to help you? I'm also hoping to make this into a career too. I'm throwing my eggs into the production quality basket. As far as endorsements and other such monetary things, I will remain true to my format. If I dilute it to something that isn't my "voice" I think it will adversely affect my channel....
...then again I only have 3 videos up and my latest one is flirting with 300 views.![]()
stupid of me but you know.I feel with you as I dropped my Nikon 1 J2 with 30-110 NIKKOR lens ten floors down a building. Nikon said it was beyond repair. With literally a hammer I could get at least get the camera somehow back to working. I guess if Nikon provided spare parts I would have a fully functional camera nowI broke about $170 worth of GoPro accessories doing this stupid video...

Was the camera recording when you dropped it??? That would be interesting to watch lol. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I was recording when I destroyed my gear lol. I waited over a month to show my girlfriend what I did... She noticed my crushed accessories and asked what happened, I told her I'd rather not say. When I showed her she just gave me this look that just said "WHY???" I showed her and some friends the video on New Year's Eve.... I wonder if I should make it public?I feel with you as I dropped my Nikon 1 J2 with 30-110 NIKKOR lens ten floors down a building. Nikon said it was beyond repair. Apart from that the time I put into my videos is rather something I gain than something I sacrifise. As I have a relatively loose schedule the is close to no conflict with family and friends.
Well kind of. I was taking an image sequence instead of video. So unfortunately nothing useful from the fall. Was the camera recording when you dropped it???
I actually did loose a friendship because of YouTube but again it doesn't bother me because I prefer doing this than keeping that one friend out of a million. That's pretty much all I can think of for the moments in terms of sacrifice!
