What has happened to my channel!?

I was just minding my own business looking through the forums when suddenly I checked out my video manager and seen that a video that I had posted today has got a huge amount of views whilst I was away.

A video before also got a massive amount of views. The only reason I could think is that since that first video was released I changed the tags on my videos and also advertised a bit more everywhere but didn't think it would go up by this much?!

Has anyone got an explanation behind any of this or is this all normal?

Here's a link to all the videos on my channel and you can see the trend then BAM

Any feedback is really appreciated as I don't want to be extremely happy because of it then find out that the whole "Youtube has given me too many views so they're going to take them off again" is going to happen!

Well considering that video's public stats are disabled, while the others is enabled seems really fishy. It may have been botted. Not saying that you botted it, but it something seems off.

What do you mean by public stats?

If I have been given too many views will youtube just remove them?

If they gave you too many views, next time they audit they will remove them. Same goes for it is botted views. Anything that is not a real view will be removed.

Hmmm I just checked out the link...saw the over 1000 views as the first video....then I clicked on 'most viewed videos'...and that video disappeared.......I'm not sure what's going on there.....Hopefully you're not being botted :( That would suck!

Go to your newest on your channel (the one with over 1k views), then click on it. To the right of the "like" and "dislike" icons should be a set of other ones. Find the one that has a bunch of random vertical bars and click on it. Normally, there should be public statistics of how the video was found and when, but it's disabled for your newest one.

Ah okay even I would rather they do get removed if they are not real views anyway but I see why this can cause some Youtubers distress, how often do youtube audit views?

I don't think there is any schedule to their auditing, it just happens at random. They seem to be auditing views more frequently now though. So when that happens, and if you loose a bunch of views that day.. this is most likely why.

It says the reason it can't show statistics is because their was a copyright claim, I have acknowledged so nothing bad will come of it but it says that it cannot show the statistics publicly- hope this helps as well
