What FREE Editing Program?

What FREE editing program should I get? I have windows and ive been using movie inkmaker and its trash i think. I want one that i could add pictures and text in the middle of the video while the video is still running. Its kind of confusing, but if you have questions than please ask.

Windows Movie Maker. Sometimes, Hitfilm gives away their program for free. You might want to keep checking on that. :)

I've never heard of a good free video editing program for windows other than Movie Maker. There is a free open source editor for Unix OSs. But I've never heard of a decent one that runs on Windows. I have looked. Quite a bit.

I'm with Reina (and LiveLoopers). WMM is the only (good) free movie maker out there, that I've found. It lets you add captions, but not video overlays (like, a picture on top of the video)
Good luck!

Hey this is not related but how did you get that subscriber and views goal in your signature?

Besides movie maker I can`t really think of any other good free editing software. I do recommend Sony movie studio 12 its £40 on eBay it`s not very much at all. But movie maker is most likely the best one in the free area.

Hey! Sorry for the awfully late reply. Like CommMatt said, you can purchase a package with YTtalk cash which you can generate from posting around the forums. I added in the video views and subscribers goals manually myself. If you buy the best package there, you can embed one of your own videos as well in your signature. :)

Hey, the VideoPad Video Editor is really good. It has a trial for the Pro Version, and then you can downgrade to the Free version which takes away a few features but it is still really good for a free program. You can overlay pictures or videos, commentate over what you have recorded, actually record within the program to live commentate
( i use the xsplit camera for this because it records both audio commentary and video) add subtitles, add transitions and effects. On top of that you can have up to three audio tracks. In my opinion its a pretty darn good free program and I'd highly recommend it :P
