What FPS does youtube support?

Hey guys. So I have searched this, and gotten mixed results. Some say it shows them in 24fps, 30fps, and some say 60fps is supported.
This is important for gaming content.
So what is the maximum FPS for on demand videos?
What is the maximum FPS for live content on youtube?

Basically they accept anything up to 30FPS

24FPS is for things like short film/films to get that motion blur look.

60FPS would probably be interlaced footage and should be deinterlaced before upload or youtube will deinterlace it to 30fps for you.

That is an interesting support link, but it doesnt say what it displays the content in, only that you should upload in the best quality possible, as long as it matches the source.

Source for 30fps?

Not sure what you're asking here, but most things record in 30FPS no matter what the quality.

it says that if you recorded in 720, 60fps, then upload in that format. It does not say if it actually displays that fps.

Gaming uses over 30fps frequently, but I dont want to waste time rendering and hard drive space with 60fps if youtube will only display in 30fps

you can upload in 60fps but it will only be shown in 30fps.

I would just render in 30fps. I would record at 60+ still just so the game is still playable though :')

You can upload a 60 fps video. It will just make it a 30 fps, or very close, video. All my videos are done with shadowplay, which records in 60 fps, and I've had no problem with uploading them.

Youtube caps the framerate at 30fps. Curious question: What is the point in recording in 60fps if you are just going to chop it down to 30fps anyways for youtube? Why not just record at 30fps since thats what its going to be in anyways?
