What forums do you advise to post on?

Other than YTTalk ID say post in facebook groups or other forums that are related to your content. But if you're not already a member I'd say stay away because then you might seem like a spammer :/

Facebook groups? How so? Never heard of that one
 
Just go on facebook and search keywords for your interests and you'll usually find groups. I live in Michigan so I searched "Michigan youtubers" and I found a small group for Michigan tubers

You can just search up "YouTube" on Facebook and hit the groups tab. There's a lot of groups you can join that are worldwide by requesting access to them, otherwise you can click on your location on the sidebar on the left and see if there's a group in your area for the same purpose.

It depends on your niche. But I would suggest you look at forums that allow you to post with a signature, and preferably a video on it.

Try to think what pain your videos can solve and consider finding forums about that. For example, for me, one of the things I promote is positivity so I'll occasionally promote in big social anxiety forums where people are depressed.
