YouTube is a fantastic site for everyone to show their creative minds. However, YouTube is not perfect and sometimes puts too much focus on the look instead of the site's features.

1. Custom URL Option Once Per Year

There are many YouTubers who did not join YouTube with the intentions to start a channel. If you were a member from 2011 and before then you didn't have a true way to choose your URL. Your username automatically became your custom URL. Some YouTubers' URLs look very off because of this. Plus its not a good idea for anyone to know your username on YouTube because there are so many obsessed haters who may want to delete your account. I have read many bad stories about hackers deleting accounts.

Give us an option to change our channels' URLs once a year instead of forcing people to delete their channels.

2. Blocking Google+ Users automatically blocks them from your channel.

I was very surprised to see that I had to double block a few people. It would be very convenient if I block a Google+ profile that it would automatically blocked the person from my channel as well.

3. Sub Tags for Niches

Tags are very nice, but they do not accurately describe a channel. Sports is a very vague tag. What sports does you channel feature?

4. Live Messaging

Messaging is really bad right now. YouTube should offer live chat messaging. It's quick and easy.

5. Better Music and Sound Effects

YouTube is nice to offer us free music and sound effects. The problem is that they are very mediocre. I'm not expecting Katy Perry or James Brown. However, I do expect catchy music to make the audience happy and it will only benefit YouTube. The current sound effects are so bad that they are not worth mentioning again.

6. OTHER

I don't know what in the hell you are thinking!? Share your ideas!
 
the option to know every subscriber who unsubscribes to me so i can stalk them down and make them feel bad for unsubscribing :p
 
I'd like more information about viewers who watched but did not subscribe, easily sortable information about my subscribers, the ability to edit videos that have been uploaded without losing views, more options on the interface, ability to click on user name across all platforms and pull up Google+ page, quicker ways to navigate from one section to another (everything seems like it requires 3 clicks to get there), easier ways to report videos. I'm sure I could list a dozen more!
 
I would like to see the same YouTube analyitics as I had for my website. YouTube analytics is in embryonic stage in comparison with the one for real websites. I guess this is done on purpose to prevent us gaining deeper insight of the YouTube algorithm mechanisms.
 
I'd like the ability to be able to reply to ALL of my comments....

Got one today on an older video that simply said "WTF". That's it. Just "WTF". Like, ok...

I think that's set up on the user's end. It sucks though because sometimes I'll have people who are begging for a reply but it's just not an option for them so I can't say anything to them! I'll go to their channel discussion page sometimes to try to respond.
