What Editing Tricks Can You Do With Camtasia Studio 8?

I also forgot, there is a software by a company called "Blackmagic" - "Fusion" they give away a free version that pretty much has everything an average user would need, supposedly rivals after effects and is a hollywood caliber tool.

I'm assuming you meant rather Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve. I'll second that it has a great editor integrated - not too steep a learning curve and fully featured (only made free very recently when the company making the software was bought by Blackmagic - expensive professional oriented product). Really importantly I think it puts a nice emphasis on colour grading and correcting with its top Ribbon.

For clarification Blackmagic Fusion is more of a compositor like After Effects or Apple Motion, only its a node based one and not a timeline based one. Its also free and brilliant (used for some of the VFX for a long list of Films) but truly a professional product (yes Free) in the sense that it has a really, really, really steep learning curve. For a laugh worth looking at the comments left in Film Riots behind the scenes of their "The Frozen in Time Effect!" video, where they used node based compositing software (oh and the audience watching Film Riot already tend to be pretty into their VFX as is)!!![DOUBLEPOST=1434594088,1434593193][/DOUBLEPOST]I forgot to add Fusion is 3D whereas AE and Motion are more 2.5D

ya, i'm sure it has a pretty steep learning curve, if you wanted to master it all.... lol...but even if you can squeeze one or 2 simple effects out of it, it might be worth the effort...to get that dazzling yet subtle effect. :D
