What Editing Software Do You Use?

Each to their own- I did say that it was not a popular upgrade and a lot of editors subsequently moved to Adobe. I find it fits my needs really well, but it's not for everyone.

Sure I did

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro, but previously I used Sony Vegas on my PC. Now I use FCP7 and I'm still trying to get used to it!! Would you prefer FCP7 or FCPX?

So I gave my response on what I prefer and said it's not for everybody and it depends on what your needs are.

Never used either, but have you considered getting Premiere Pro, its an adobe software and it is pretty similar to sony vegas

I prefer Premiere Pro CS6 because of the lack of the need to transcode your clips when working with AVCHD etc... The less prep time needed means the more time I have to be creative with the edit and helps me to turn around videos faster.

I think it's an unpopular opinion but I really like FCPX! I couldn't get my head around FCP7. FCPX is a LOT easier to use- it's basically a souped up iMovie.

I think a lot of the pro editors moved to the Adobe suite after FCPX was released- it wasn't really a popular update. I think it just depends on what your own needs are for your editing software. X suits me down to the ground as someone who really enjoys editing as a hobby and wanted more options than iMovie offers.

This is also exactly why I use Final Cut Pro X as well.

I like to mix two softwars together. Aftereffects and windows movie maker because i just started with aftereffects and I use it to improve lighting of my videos and separate my audio to improve it on audacity.
