What does "getting involved in the Youtube community" mean??? How to get involved???

To be honest i am not really to sure what "getting involved in the Youtube community" means??? Is it leaving comments on Youtubers videos and making friends with Youtubers and do collaborations with them and replying to my viewers/subscribers in the comments on my videos(and other Youtubers videos)??

Yeah i don't really know or not sure what "getting involved in the Youtube community" means???? Is it just on Youtube or does social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, more come into play with on the "getting involved in the Youtube community thing"???

I am pretty much clueless on this and i need help on this to have greater understanding on "getting involved in the Youtube community".

Can anyone tell me what does "getting involved in the Youtube community" mean??? and how to "get involved in the Youtube community"???
 
It means hang out on YouTube, do what other youtubers do, become a fan of others and interact with people of that community. You need to integrate YouTube into your life
 
It is literally what your doing right now. Just joining a group and letting yourself be known so you can kinda gain a following and make new friends.
 
So, yeah, what being involved with the Youtube community means is doing something other than simply making and promoting your own videos. You should also be watching other people's videos and commenting on theirs...not to promote your video (you shouldn't even mention your video), but to respond to things they are talking about, what you liked about their videos, and so on.

I think it depends on niche as well. So, for video game music covers, I check out other musicians and ask for tips regarding arrangement, mixing, etc., It's interesting because two people can cover the same song but have very different approaches and styles.
 
Find channels that are similar to yours, and just comment on them! Make sure they are genuine, though, and not just something like "sub 4 sub," because that never really works out. After a little while of steady commenting on the same channels, you'll have probably made some friends! This is what I've done, and now I talk to people over Twitter, comment on their channels and blogs (I have a blog of my own, and am super involved there!), and on Instagram! It does take a little time and effort to establish these relationships, but it'll be worth it in the end! Good luck! :)
 
If you are truly interested in the subject of your own channel then you'll probably have been watching, and commenting, on similar videos to yours even before you made any yourself.

I think it's important to be genuine, and have a genuine interest in your content and others who are making similar content.

When we comment on other channels it's because we found something interesting in a video. We get a lot of spammy comments from other channels who you can tell haven't watched the video they are commenting on. Doing this will eventually annoy the folks who run the channels you are commenting on, and they might report your comments as spam, delete your comments, and possibly eventually block you.

Besides, a good quality engaging comment reflects well on your channel, and viewers are more likely to visit you if you've said something interesting.
