Hmm well if I had to be on the other side of the conversation and say one of my teenage cousins said they wanted to make a channel, I would ask:
- What is your type of content and how much personal information are you putting out there. If they can give me a reasonable sense that they know how to protect their own privacy, I would be ok with that.
- Are you on camera or just commentary? This is more of a concern if they are really young or for girls. Just a concern that they would be approached by online predators and the such.
- Is it affecting your school work and grades? That's an obvious one. Prove that you have good grades, aren't skipping out on homework, then it's not a big deal to have a hobby.
I think if you can reasonably have answers to the above ready, then parents should feel confident enough to let you do your thing.
