what do you think of this technique for recording commentary and gameplay

I use arcsoft showbiz

and what i do is set my audio device to my microphone (Samson gomic)

and turn my volume up on my tv loud enough to be heard by my mic

and then i hit capture and record gameplay and live commentary

it seems ok to me what about you guys
 
That's not a great way to record it. If you're recording from a console game, you need a capture card (which will record the game audio for you and the screen), and then a mic for your voice to be recorded separately and then synced up in post.

i use a capture card (Ezcap) i already tried to sync the audio but it is always off to where the video is faster than my voice
 
If the video is faster than your voice, recording the game audio and voice from the same mic will have exactly the same problem.

hey i'm using debut video capture software now it allows me to do live commentary
 
This is kind of why I don't like console gaming, all the extra hoops you have to do just to record games.
