What do you think about youtube promoting ?

I just saw that you can promote your videos idk how legit it is if it just gives you views or if it actually gives you a chance to get subscribers

Meh. I use it. I get lots of views. A few subscribers. Even though I tell it to market towards movies, it has placed my video on Dora the Explorer sites and other weird places.

If you check out VeeRoll, they have software that helps you to work with YouTUbe promoter, and it finds the targeted channels to advertise on. It works well, but it's almost $50 a month. So too much for me right now. I gave it whirl for 2 months.

And how did that go?
 
I liked VeeRoll. It's easy to use. You just type in keywords and it finds the best placements. It did work, it was just too expensive for me at the moment.
 
$50 is too high for small youtubers. Do they have some kinda of trial for the software?

I haven't promoted a video through youtube but will definitely try it at some point.
 
I've experimented with YouTube's promoting system a few times. Not sure what to think; I most certainly hate the ads that pop up before a video I wanted to watch, an opinion that's probably shared among many on YouTube, and since that's a default setting that can only be changed if you go into Google Adwords, at least last time I looked at it...
